All-trades list of NP employees. Although it may never be complete, because more sources will undoubtedly emerge, the list currently has more than 53,000 entries from over 225 sources. Employees may be entered multiple times, reflecting promotions, new locations, and more. |

Citations for the over 225 sources used in the All-Trades List. Big 5 Railroad Rosters and Big 4 Railroad Records are examples of lists supported by local advertising and are area-specific. Some employees kept their own lists. In 1980 P.B ""Brick"" Marvin compiled a list of all enginemen in the former Montana Division. Many former employees have shared company-generated rosters for a variety of roles. A variety of sources on Ancestry.com were also scoured, as were online newspapers. |

Update 2026-02: Going forward, all photographs held by the NPRHA will be cataloged on the Railroad Archives Online site. This is a work in progress--only a fraction of the collections is available now but more are being added regularly. |
