Wheel reports were prepared by freight conductors to describe each car in a consist, its destination, and contents. This list has is copyrighted 2006 by Allen Reuter, who transcribed the material. The original document was provided by Dick Eisfeller. This copyright reserves all commercial rights, but permits the free sharing and non-commercial use of this document in either digital or printed format. Allen made a best effort to transcribe the original document, putting in question marks for illegible items, and entered comments on what those items might have been. Also included is a document by Chris Frisell that described how wheel reports were created by NP conductors and how they can be used by prototype modelers to improve their train consists and overall modeling. |

Train Dispatcher's Manuals |
Supplemental rules issued to train dispatchers which detailed how to issue train orders, use of train order books, clearance records, train sheets, and operations in centralized traffic control territory. These manuals were updated with each new issue of the consolidated operating code. Fewer than 50% have been scanned so far. An inventory of what all is available is included. |

The official record of all train orders issued by train dispatchers. The dispatcher recorded the train order using ink and then underlined the words when repeated by the telegrapher or other employee. The back of the train order book contains clearance records, which recorded the number of orders addressed to each train at specified stations. Also recorded is the time that a train order was made complete and the time that a clearance was acknowledged. Fewer than 50% have been scanned so far. An inventory of what all is available is included. |

The official record of daily train movements for a defined territory. Dispatchers record information on both scheduled and extra trains. The information includes the engineer and conductor, train number, lead locomotive number, and the times of arrivals, departures, or passings as reported by operators and agents at each location. For each subdivision, the stations are listed in the center of the sheet. There are approximately 8,000 individual train sheets from roughly 285 months. Fewer than 50% have been scanned so far. An inventory of what all is available is included. |
